Chuck Gabler is the Chief Financial Officer of eServices, LLC. He began his career with Consolidated Natural Gas Transmission Corporation in the rates department in 1992. There he was part of a team that calculated and filed tariff rates based on cost-of-service and base rate calculations. From 1995 to 1997 Mr. Gabler worked at Consolidated Natural Gas Energy Services in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During this time he started the structure desk to price out structured natural gas transactions. He then moved into the trading department, trading both forward basis and index gas primarily in the Gulf Coast and Texas areas.
In 1997 Mr. Gabler was hired by Virginia Power to trade forward basis and index gas in both the Gulf Coast and Northeast regions. In 2000 Mr. Gabler was made the Manager of Northeast natural gas trading. In this role he continued to trade forward basis as well as overseeing all trading from the Gulf Coast, through the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and into New England. This group consisted of roughly 6 people which managed over 1bcf/day of transportation and approximately 20bcf of storage. Mr. Gabler was responsible for reporting positions and profit and loss figures to the director of trading. The products Mr. Gabler traded during this time included futures, basis, fixed-for-float, and NYMEX look-a-like swaps, forward and spot physical gas, swing swaps, basis options, gas daily options, and peaking options. These products coupled with Virginia Power assets and fuel management deals with third parties were used to manage the entire East Coast natural gas portfolio.
In January of 2005, Mr. Gabler left Dominion to pursue the formation of eServices, LLC.
In 1992 Mr. Gabler graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S in Business Administration. He earned his MBA and MS in Information Systems in 1995 from the University of Pittsburgh.
